When God Uses You To Bless Others.

If you have ever wanted to avoid others because you don't feel like "peopling" I know how you feel.

Sunday was a rough day. I was mourning the anniversary of my mother's passing and I wasn't feeling too hot, so I purposely went to church late so I wouldn't have to talk with anyone, right? Wrong! As soon as I approached the doors, a sister in-Christ named Gigi greets me, "Sonny! Great to see you. Can you pray for a friend of mine?"

How do you walk away from that? You don't.

Gigi said that her friend Tom was also battling cancer and wanted to know what she could do to help him. She said that both she and her mother call him often, have meals with him, and send encouraging texts with prayers, but is that enough?

My answer? Yes! Keep doing what you're doing.

As I was in the thick of my surgery and then radiation for my cancer, everytime I started to feel overwhelmed, someone would call me, text me, or drop a meal off.

Every. Single. Time.

God never let me feel as if I were all alone because He kept sending His people to remind that someone cared.

You just checking in on someone may be exactly what they needed.
