There are people who, no matter how hard life is for them, will check on you to see how you're doing.
One of those couples for me are Earl-Jean & Bob, a couple in their late to early... well, they're older than I am.
They just checked-in to say that they've been praying hard as I go through my healing journey through cancer. I told them that it's undetectable as of now, but I'll be checked again this week and every 3 months for the next 10-years and thanked them for their prayers.
Earl-Jean, in her sweet Southern draw, said, "Well, we will continue to pray for you every day until you get the all clear!" She then yelled for Bob to "Pickup the phone, you'll never guess who's on the line?!"
Bob is a man of few words but many prayers and shared that he too was praying often.
I asked how he was doing and he said he has to wear a brace to help him walk, and that he uses a cane, but that he's getting by.
That's the kind of people I just love, even though they have their own struggles, they make sure to reach out and encourage others, like me.
