Team USA's Youngest Olympian is From Plano!

Ready for the Summer Olympics? North Texas is! Several local athletes will represent Team USA, including the youngest Olympian, Hezley Rivera. Training at WOGA in Plano, Hezley is just 16 years and 24 days old.

"It feels surreal. I can't believe I'm here. All my hard work is paying off. I'm so excited to represent Team USA. I'm shocked!" says Hezley.

Veteran Olympians joke with her, asking, "Wait, how old are you? You just turned 16 in June?"

"Yeah, June 4th," she replies.

Happy birthday, Hezley, and go Team USA!
