Satan's Deadliest Trick

The enemy wants you to believe that God is frustrated with you. Disappointed in you. Enduring your presence because you prayed a prayer and walked an aisle and therefore, he's locked in.

This might be Satan's deadliest trick--to keep you from dwelling in Christ's love. For if Satan can convince you that the Lord merely tolerates you (and scarcely, at that), then he has successfully stripped you of all desire and inclination to turn toward your Father and abide in him.

For who wants to to sit in the presence of one who clenches their fists and grinds their teeth at the very sight of you? However, that doesn't describe how God sees you at all. Zephaniah 3:17 puts it more accurately:

"The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.' - Zephaniah 3:17

Simply put, God longs for you, sings over you, and rejoices over you. It's true!

But the enemy will fight to keep you entangled in unbelief. Why? Because when we believe the truth about God, it takes us in the complete opposite direction. The God that we worship does not do abandonment (Deuteronomy 31:8). We will never be powerful enough to make God's face turn from us. Because God knows us utterly and is with us always' you are never a disappointment.
