Mesquite Championship Rodeo To The Rescue!

Listen to Mesquite Championship Rodeo Helps Farmers In North Carolina!

It may not be a big news story anymore, but there are still many people who need help after Hurricane Helene, especially in North Carolina!

Well, the Mesquite Championship Rodeo helped out North Carolina flooding victims in a big way -- 42,000 pounds worth of livestock feed, in fact.

Mesquite rodeo officials worked with Smokey Adams of Stevens Transport to deliver the feed to North Carolina, and the group also got a police escort through Texas to the Louisiana state line. The Aaron Family also supported the delivery efforts.

The 42,000 pounds of livestock feed is what rodeo officials helped collect and then ultimately deliver to farmers and ranchers who need it in Western North Carolina, which was badly devastated by flooding in the wake of Hurricane Helene.

Caleb Thomas is the Assistant Rodeo Director at the Mesquite Championship Rodeo who said, “This effort wasn’t just about feed—it was about bringing hope,” Celeb added,  “The rodeo family is more than what happens in the arena. It’s about character, resilience, and showing up for others when it matters most. This delivery was a symbol of that commitment—letting the farmers and ranchers in North Carolina know they’re not alone."

Oh, and notice the Bible verse. It's Galatians 6:2 which reads, "Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ." Amen!
