Many of us get home and watch TV only to find the TV watching us as we fall asleep. At least that's what happens in my home.
Just about every night my wife nudges me, "Hon, you're snoring." Huh? What? I wasn't... oh.
Well, now I know why.
As our bodies battle these 100+ degree temps, your body is constantly working to keep you at 98.6 degrees and in balance. It regulates your moods, your emotions, and your body temperature. External factors, such as the temperature of your environment, as well as internal factors, such as your heart rate and metabolic rate, all impact your body temperature. Your body responds to these changes to maintain your ideal body temperature, expending energy in the process and making you feel tired.
So, take that nap my friend. You deserve it.
