God is so good. After I finished with my announcements at the Jeremy Camp concert in Arlington Sunday, I thought about heading home. It had been a long weekend, and I was starting to feel anxiety build up for my upcoming doctor's appointment.
But just before leaving I felt a nudge to 'stay a little bit longer' and I am so glad I did because just a few seconds later a listener came to our table to introduce herself. Jennifer said that she had been praying for me as I go through my healing journey through cancer, and then shared how God has sustained her through her own journey.
It was just the encouragement I needed. I actually had goosebumps just being reminded of God's goodness, and as Jennifer walked away, Esther introduced herself. She wanted me to know that God was using me to encourage her every day.
Then Sarah, Casey, John, and Whitney stopped by to reiterate how important my position at KCBI was, to speak God's light into this dark world.
I was overwhelmed with gratitude when Jennifer Hudson, not the singer, stopped by to reassure me that God sees me, and that she was praying for me too.
Thank you Lord!
By-the-way, my tests continue to show no detectable cancer. I'll be checked every 3 months for the next 10 years. Praying it stays that way.
