Have you ever felt like something's missing after you've prayed? I have. Philippians 4:6-7 tells us not to worry, but to pray about everything. It promises peace beyond understanding. Sounds great, right? But sometimes, that peace doesn't come right away.
I've been thinking about why. And here's what I've realized: it's about control. When I pray, but then cling to control, peace seems elusive. It's like I'm saying, "God, I'll handle this," instead of truly letting go.
But when I surrender control, that's when the peace promised in prayer starts to make sense. It's a letting go, a handing over of burdens to God. And in that release, there's a profound peace from Him.
