See you later, Mom

My mom, US Army MSG (Ret.) Annemarie Murdock, has been received into the church triumphant. A baptized child of our Father, she closed her eyes to this life and opened them to see Christ.

We saw her the night before she passed. My wife reminded her that we loved her, that we would be OK, and if she was ready to be with Jesus, we were ready to say “see you later”.

We hurt. But we hope and believe.

My mother is not dead. She lives. Praise be to God. She is with her Lord, who is the resurrection and the life. That is our confidence and our consolation.

She loved God, she loved me, and she loved this country that she served, honorably, for over 20 years.

Listen to See You Later, Mom.
