I love 1 Thessalonians 5:18 – “Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus.” But if I’m honest, that’s easier to read than to actually live out sometimes.
This past weekend, I pulled into a parking lot, and it felt like every spot I tried to pull into just wasn’t going to work. One was too tight, another had a car pulled too far forward, and a third had two people literally working on their engine. By this point, I was starting to get a little frustrated. But as I kept driving, I found not one, but two open spots right up by the front of the store.
It got me thinking – how often do I get stuck in my frustration when things don’t go my way, without even considering that God might have something better just a little further down the road?
I don’t want to miss those moments of God’s better plan just because I’m focused on what didn’t work out.
So, if you’re feeling stuck, maybe God’s just got something better waiting up ahead.
