Telling the Difference Between a Lie and the Truth

Have you heard the saying, "A broken watch is right twice a day"? It’s a reminder that even a stopped clock can show the correct time now and then, just like the best lies often contain a bit of truth.

This is a tactic used masterfully by Satan, who mixes truth with falsehood to distract and deceive us. Our everyday distractions - whether it's our jobs, sports, or even our families - can lead us away from spiritual truths. Jesus tells us in John 8, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."

Knowing the truth is our best defense against lies, helping us to discern and stay free in our faith.
