Ever tried cutting with a dull knife? It just makes a mess. Ecclesiastes 10:10 says, "If the axe is dull and its edge unsharpened, more strength is needed."
In college, my buddies and I lived on a farm and had to split wood. We never thought to sharpen the axe, making our work much harder.
This applies to life too. Spend time in God's Word, prayer, and with other Christians to sharpen yourself. It makes handling life's challenges much easier.
