Revival Begins When The Truth Is Shared | Morning Motivator

How does revival start?

I think if you asked most Christians, we would probably all say we’d love to see revival happen. We’d love to see people turn to Jesus. We’d love to see hearts changed, families changed, cities changed.

And I do think we are seeing God move in some places right now. But I don’t know how often I think about revival starting with something God could do through me.

When I think about revival, I think about Acts chapter 2. That’s when God poured out His Holy Spirit on the followers of Jesus, and Peter stood up and spoke the truth about who Jesus is.

"Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Messiah."
When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, "Brothers, what shall we do?"
Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call."
—Acts 2:36-39

Then a few verses later, it says about 3,000 people were added that day.

That is incredible to me.

I think sometimes we make revival feel like something very far away, or something that only happens in a big room with a lot of people. But maybe revival can begin with one person being faithful to share the truth.

And when the truth is shared, the Holy Spirit can do what only He can do.
