There are times I’ve thought… if Jesus really knew everything about me, would He still want me at the table?
I think a lot of us have felt that in some way.
What’s wild is, when you look at the Easter story, there’s a moment where Jesus is sitting down for a meal with His disciples. These are the guys who had seen everything: the teaching, the miracles.
And at that same table… Judas was there too.
Jesus knew exactly what Judas was going to do. He knew the betrayal was coming. And still, He let him sit at the table.
And honestly, that gives me a lot of hope.
Because it means I don’t have to clean myself up before I come to Him. I don’t have to hide the things I’ve done or pretend they didn’t happen.
I can come to Him as I am.
Ephesians 1:7 says,
“In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.”
That kind of grace is hard to fully understand. But it’s real.
Judas sat at the table.
Which means there’s room for me too.
