As we get closer to Easter, I’ve been thinking about something I hadn’t noticed before: where Jesus was positioned on the cross. Think about it: He was suspended between heaven and earth. Between a holy God and the people mocking, beating, and crucifying Him. And from that place, He didn’t call down judgment. He said, “Father, forgive them.”
That moment changed everything. Wrath became mercy. Condemnation became compassion.
The cross wasn’t just where Jesus died... it’s where He stood in the gap for us all.
Psalm 119:89 says, “Your word, O Lord, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens.” And so does His mercy.
