Guided by the Shepherd

"The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing." Psalm 23:1

It's fascinating when you consider that King David, who wrote this, started out as a shepherd boy. He knew firsthand what it meant to care for sheep, to guard and guide them. So, for David to describe God as his shepherd, that's quite a statement. He's saying he felt valued and protected by God, much like he cared for his own sheep.

It's a powerful picture, isn't it? God as our shepherd, guiding and protecting us. It reminds us that in His eyes, we're important and looked after, especially when life gets overwhelming.

If you want to dive deeper into the Psalms and explore more about how God guides us, we've got just the thing: we've put together a free devotional on the Psalms. It's packed with insights and reflections that bring these ancient songs to life in our everyday world. You can download it here: https://kcbi.org/resources/aft...
