We all know what a "fair-weather friend" is: someone who’s around for the fun times but disappears when things get hard. And let’s be honest, most of us have felt that kind of disappointment at some point.
Paul knew that feeling too. In 2 Timothy 4:16, he writes, “At my first defense, no one stood with me, but all deserted me.” Ouch. Ministry partners. Friends. Gone.
But Paul doesn’t stop there. He adds, “But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me.”
That part gets me.
Even when people fail, God stays. Even when you feel forgotten, you’re not. He’s there, steady and faithful - no matter the season.
