As the eclipse gets closer, we're all getting excited here in North Texas. But what about our furry friends? Do they need eye protection to enjoy the eclipse safely? The short answer: nope. Most pets aren't likely to look directly at the sun long enough to harm their eyes. Our own cats love being outside in the dark, and sometimes they strut back inside with a little bit of a swagger, like they're the king of the jungle. Imagine the extra spring in their step when they experience the dark from the eclipse in the middle of the day! So, rest easy, your pets will be just fine and probably a bit more dramatic after their daytime/nighttime adventure.
