Chips And Salsa Shows God's Goodness | Morning Motivator

Chips and salsa may be one of the best things about going out for Tex-Mex.

You sit down at the table, and before you even order your meal, here they come. A basket of chips. A bowl of salsa. And the funny thing is, you didn’t do anything to earn it! You didn’t buy something that came with it. You didn’t prove you deserved it. They just bring it to the table.

It’s offered freely. And there’s usually more than enough for everybody.

I know it’s a simple thing, but sometimes simple things remind me of the goodness of God. Because God gave His Son freely for us. Jesus paid the debt for our sin so we could be forgiven and know God personally.

We didn’t earn that. We couldn’t buy it. We couldn’t work hard enough to deserve it.

Ephesians 2:8-9 says, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast.”

That means salvation is a gift.

It’s not because I’m good enough. It’s not because I finally got everything right. It’s only because of God’s grace.

And Jesus is enough for everyone who comes to Him.
