Boss Scam: If Your Boss Texts You, Don’t Answer!

If you get a text from your boss asking you to buy gift cards, be cautious. There's a new scam where people pose as your boss and request urgent purchases, claiming they’re in a meeting.

They're taking advantage of your busy schedule and fear of saying no. Verify any requests before acting.

Consider using a code word with your boss for real purchase requests. For example, "Muskrat purchase" means it's legitimate. Without the code word, don’t buy anything.

Stay alert and protect yourself!
