Electricity always takes the path of least resistance. It finds the easiest way through and avoids obstacles if it can.
I wish faith worked like that. I wish growing in my relationship with God was always smooth and simple. But the truth is – faith doesn’t grow stronger by avoiding resistance. It grows through it.
The hard stuff, the trials, the setbacks – those are the things that build real faith. The kind that holds up under pressure.
James 1:2–4 says, “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”
That kind of faith takes time – and resistance – to grow. But it’s always worth it.
