Description
Learn about HOPE International's sustainable model of alleviating global poverty through microloans, savings services, biblically based training, and discipleship. Celebrate with us how God has been at work in the lives of the women and men we serve!
In low-income economies, people have few options for accessing capital apart from loan sharks, which can be dangerous and charge exorbitant interest fees. HOPE provides loans to the underserved who lack capital but have the initiative to start or expand a business to become a self-sufficient entrepreneur, support their families, and uplift their communities.
HOPE International equips these underserved women and men and the model provides spiritual, personal, social, and material transformation'a sustainable and holistic approach to alleviating poverty' that doesn't cause dependency.
HOPE International helps underserved individuals like Bosco. He was frequently suspended from his school in rural Rwanda for not being able to pay his school fees.'He then joined a HOPE savings group and agrifaith program and cultivated a garden producing enough vegetables to feed his family and sell. Then, after a $45 loan to purchase a pig to breed and carrot and onion seeds for his garden, he produced enough vegetables to sell generating enough money to pay his school fees and others' school fees.
*Note that if you can't attend this event there is a similar HOPE event in Dallas on 10/4. No cost for either event.
